Find color renditions of images from my book, Yoga and Meditation for the Spiritual Seeker: A Guide to Knowing and Loving Your Whole Authentic Self.

From Chapter 5--Spiritual Anatomy, the mandala representation of the five koshas.

The golden yellow lotus represents the brilliant Light at the core of our being - the Divine Soul (atman).

Purple relates to Crown charka, our connection with Source. The delicate design indicates the initial veil. While separated from Source, there is still awareness of the Bliss/Spirit Self (anandamaya kosha).

The blue (the Intellectual/Intuitive Self (vijanamaya kosha)) and green (the Mental/Emotional Self (manomay kosha)) petals demonstrate the intertwined dance of the grand Mind.

The orange glow and design represent the life-giving vitality of the Energetic/Vital Self (pranamaya kosha).

The outermost red petals are strong and sturdy denoting the Physical/Material Self (annamaya kosha).
