Since re-listening to Amy Cuddy’s popular TEDTalk last month ('Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are'), I have added one more thing to my morning ‘prepare-to-get-out-of-bed-and-start-my-day’ routine. It’s the Wonder Woman, a posturing offered by Cuddy as a power pose. I adapt it in a yoga-like way and use it to tap into my power every morning.
This morning, while doing my Wonder Woman, I received the inspiration of this poem. It was as if the spirit of Diana Prince herself flowed through me. 😉
So here’s a little ode to all my fellow Wonder Women. Guys, I hope you enjoy it too. And if you do, I invite you to share with a Wonder Woman in your life.
Wonder Women
I am a woman of wonder,
an empowered person
allowing authenticity,
being bold,
conjuring clarity,
delighting in discovery,
feeling and flowing with
greatness and grace,
jumping with joy,
kindling kindness,
loving to laugh,
present to the potential
in each moment so monumental,
reaching for richness
rather than riches,
surrendering to Source,
and trusting the Truth
within me which is of
goodwill and wisdom.
I am a wonder woman.
