Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage has been used in many cultures for centuries as a way of not only alleviating physical ailments but also as a means for preventative health care. Modern day studies are validating what our ancestors already knew – “Massage is a perfect elixir for good health.”**

As a PA licensed massage therapist, it is my goal and privilege to assist you in you well-being! During your massage session with me, I will blend various modalities to create a personalized, therapeutic experience. I specialize in addressing long-term head, neck and shoulder tension/pain. Regardless of your condition, it is my intention to provide a nurturing, specific touch that is effective in promoting your own unique healing process.

Craniosacral Therapy, or CST, is one of the gentlest yet most profound of healing modalities. By using a soft touch no greater than the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:

  • Migraine Headaches
  • Chronic neck & back pain
  • Motor-Coordination Impairments
  • Fibromyalgia
  • TMJ Syndrome
  • Chronic Fatigue

CST recipients remain fully-clothed during the session as the therapist performs specific “holds” and hand placements along the body.

Thai Yoga Massage combines massage and yoga movements into an effective healing modality. The origins can be traced back 2500 years to India and the spread of Buddhism into Thailand. In fact, the Buddha himself was a frequent recipient of this ancient practice!

Thai Yoga Massage focuses on the network of energy lines that run through the body. It is through the massaging and stretching of this network of energy lines that Thai Yoga Massage releases tension. Within a session, the therapist guides the client through various yoga postures and also applies different massage techniques along the muscles. By allowing energy to flow more freely, the massage works to alleviate problematic conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties, and stress-related conditions.

A Thai Yoga Massage session is done on floor mats with the client wearing comfortable, flexible clothing. Your session will leave you energized as well as relaxed!

Hawaiian LOMI LOMI
Traditional Lomi Lomi is a holistic healing tradition beyond simple massage. It had been passed down through the generations by the ancient Polynesians and more specifically the master healers of Hawaii.

As a modern-day modality, this style of bodywork works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes; thus, totally nurturing the body and enabling the recipient to relax and simply surrender all thoughts, tensions and holding patterns. A key ingredient of Lomi Lomi is the loving and nurturing intention of the therapist that creates an environment for deep healing.

INTEGRATED MASSAGE ** most popular service **
Integrated massage blends several styles of massage and bodywork to create a personalized, therapeutic session. Your treatment plan may be a combination of therapies including Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Unwinding, Craniosacral Therapy, Table Thai, Lomi Lomi and Reiki. The benefits of an integrative massage are numerous. It can relieve muscle and joint pain and/or tension, reduce stress, eliminate fatigue, promote relaxation and improve circulation within the body.

* First-time clients, please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to appointment time in order to complete Client Intake Form.

* While I greatly appreciate the gesture of tipping, this is NOT expected nor required… For me, massage therapy is an essential & powerful way of experiencing good health and well-being rather than a luxury service or “treat”.  To that end, if you would like to express your gratitude for my services, I encourage you to do one or both of the following:

  • Submit a Testimonial sharing your experience so others will have benefit of the knowledge.
  • Refer me to your friends, family, co-workers… anyone who you feel could also benefit from my style of work.

I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. However, to be effective and fair to all parties, I have adopted the following policies, which apply outside any emergencies:

  • 24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
  • If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged for their “missed” appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made.

Arriving late
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Regardless of the length of the treatement actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session.

Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
